Tangkahan Eco Glamping Rooms
Welcome to Tangkahan Eco Glamping.
We didn’t want to build a typical hotel; we wanted to create a Tangkahan accommodation that actually feels like it belongs in the jungle. Our eco lodge in Tangkahan is tucked away in our tropical garden, surrounded by lush green gardens with tents, so it never feels crowded.
We’ve worked hard to make this the best place to stay in North Sumatra for people who want a real bed and a hot shower without losing that connection to the jungle
Below, you can check out our three room types, see what’s cooking in the restaurant, and find a few helpful tips on what to expect before you book your stay for ethical conservation in North Sumatra.

NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH US

Our place is far from the city and outside of the central village, so we don’t have WiFi access. You can use data on a local SIM if you wish, but the signal is weak at our place with no reliable coverage. Prepare to disconnect from the outside world while you’re here. If you do need to access the internet, we can help take you back to the village for WiFi or data access.
Most accommodations and restaurants in Tangkahan only use cash as payment. There is no ATM in the village – the nearest is about 20 minutes away in Titimangga. We suggest you bring enough cash to pay for your various activities. But don’t worry, we accept payments via credit card.
Tangkahan Eco Glamping is all about getting away from it all – we are about a 20 minute walk from the village (but can use a boat to access if necessary).
There are small shops in Tangkahan selling basic supplies like mosquito repellent, snacks, toiletries and basic medicines, but very little else. Stock up before you come!
